Don´t judge a book...

...by it´s cover! At least this is how the saying goes.

Easier said than done I think...in life and especially in book shops!

Browsing the second hand book market on London´s Southbank with a friend we suddenly found out about another thing we have in common.

We both hate book covers that show the poster of the film version!
Those editions corrupt my own imagination, they are degrading the novel to a form of script and they have those awful photo sections in the middle.
So everytime when I read "Soon to be a major motion picture" on the front I stay away and search for an older, "normal" edition on the shelf.
Anyone else agreeing on this one?

Booooh!

Yeah!
(don´t ask me why I chose "The Hobbit" as I got bored by the book and hate the film)
